Seven letters from stockbrokers (mostly W. N. Middleton and Co) to L. N. Blake Odgers between 1934 and 1956, confirming purchase or sale of shares. These were part of a mixed lot bought at auction, accompanied by a bag of contract stamps that had been cut from (presumably similar) letters. L. N. Blake Odgers appears to have had a long career working for the Home Office in the UK; he appears in a group photo in Dublin Castle in 1920, and was involved in developing nuclear shelter policy in 1954.

Six postcards of the Forth Bridge near Edinburgh, published by Davidson and Son, Kirkcaldy. No date, but other similar postcards online are from around 1910, so I think it's safe to assume these are in the public domain now. The Forth Bridge has, as far as I'm aware, always been painted red - so why the colourist chose to make it green here I don't know! The backs are all identical. I've included a scan of the cleanest one, and the packet the cards came in.

I bought several of these LED display modules from a UK electronics surplus supplier around 2009. The PCB is labelled "Rohm 257D", and the module has "12R02 011N" on the side. The controller chip is an Epson SED5031M0A. They came with a photocopied datasheet explaining how to drive them - this is also likely to be useful for other displays using the same SED5031 chip.

A few minutes from a museum display LaserDisc, with a short film on making printing plates using lasers, and a Philips LaserDisc promo. The disc was pressed by PDO, and is badly scratched and rotten (so the video quality isn't up to much!). The label reads "OPTICS EXHIBITION-LASERS / SCIENCE MUSEUM". Captured with a modified LD-V4400, and decoded with the ld-decode software-defined LaserDisc player.

Blood clotting simulation. Cells become sticky in response to a chemical trigger that diffuses outwards from wounds in the blood vessel; clots form as an emergent behaviour. The underlying model was developed by Carl Ritson for the TUNA project; this is an implementation on top of the CoSMoS simulation framework, using CCSP as a lightweight process scheduler.

Bird flocking simulation, with the parameters connected to a MIDI controller with motorised faders. The flocking model here is Craig Reynolds' boids; the idea of having multiple flocks with different parameters is from Hiroki Sayama's Swarm Chemistry work. The simulation is built using the CoSMoS framework with TBB as the scheduler (an earlier version used CCSP).

Timelapse video showing (nearly) a month of clouds over the Tay Road Bridge in Dundee, Scotland. One frame per minute of real time (one minute of video per day), from 00:00 on May 4th 2014 to 23:59 on May 28th. Recorded using a Raspberry Pi with a camera board -- which locked up a couple of times, hence why it's not the whole month. Grr.

Ken Harrenstein's starter ITS filesystem for the KLH10 emulator. The Incompatible Timesharing System was a timesharing operating system developed at MIT for the PDP-10; this is a preinstalled system that you can run in an emulator. This used to be available at: ftp://ftp.its.os.org/its/klh10/pi-its-a11110.tar

A Christmas carol concert from Russell House primary school in Otford, Kent, UK, performed in the village church, Saint Bartholemew's. My family's been involved with RHS since the mid-80s, and my dad and I recorded their concerts for parents for several years; this is one of those recordings, and, I think, a particularly good example.
